Back in the day, television audiences clapped when they were signaled to clap, and maybe a stage hand pressed a button that played a laugh track.
Isn't it interesting that we are sometimes told to applaud, and we go along and do it?
We clap along, even if we don't agree.
We hit the like button on posts with thousands of likes.
We run with the crowd - with the herd - because it's easy. We go along to get along.
But, your opinion, your praise, your love, your thoughtfulness are important. They can make someone's day. That someone may be someone with no thumbs up at all in their life.
