I really like the paintings of Leonid Afremov. This one is a bit of a unintended tribute to his work. I see brown-barked trees, a blue-dark sky and bright red and yellow lights, blurred by rain.
A comforting arbor of night, damp and drippy with gentle raindrops hugs us in winter, lit by the suburban lights. We hide in our neighborhoods, protected by our beliefs and routines. We forget to enjoy our beautiful surroundings in our hurry-up world. Let this piece be a reminder of the luxury of all that we have and are.
